I am Dr. Nandini Rampersaud, the owner of Ho’ōla Kino Wellness LLC. I am a pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapist and am also a registered yoga instructor. I was born and raised in Miami, FL and I graduated from Florida International University in 2016 with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I am grateful to call Big Island my home since moving here in 2021.
I was reintroduced to pelvic floor physical therapy in 2019 and began taking pelvic health education courses which allow me to evaluate and treat pelvic health conditions today. Sometimes the healthcare system accepts medicine and surgery as the standard of care before considering physical therapy for orthopedic and pelvic conditions. Preventative physical therapy is not typically defined as “medically necessary” by health insurance and is therefore not covered.
My goal is for people to learn about physical therapy and specifically pelvic health, a topic that I feel is underserved and more so underserved among minority communities. I am excited to bring yoga, pelvic health awareness, physical therapy care, and preventative healing to my community. Mahalo for choosing Ho'ōla Kino Wellness.
